Pride Festival Event Application
Events that are included in the Edmonton Pride Festival Calendar are recognized as either Official EPFS events or Sanctioned events. An Official event is owned and operated by Edmonton Pride Festival Society. A Sanctioned event is owned and operated by an outside agency or organization and receives recognition and endorsement by EPFS, generally at a nominal fee.
For an event to be eligible to become an Edmonton Pride Festival Society Sanctioned event the following criteria must be met:
- The event is unique to the Pride Festival; and would not normally occur outside of the time frame of the Festival (June 8 - 17, 2012).
- The event is intended as a celebration of the Pride Festival.
- The event supports the EPFS mission to showcase the unity of Edmonton’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender communities.
- An application for an event is to be completed and submitted to EPFS on or before May 2, 2012.
- Final approval and decision of Official and Sanctioned events will be that of EPFS.
- Event Organizers are responsible for ensuring all necessary insurance and licensing is in place for their event. EPFS will not be held liable for any issues associated with hosting an event.
Edmonton Pride Festival Society is a not for profit organization. A successful Pride Festival is reliant on grants and sponsorship funding. Your support in the form of Sanctioned Event Fees is greatly appreciated.
