The Rainbow Flag is proudly raised at City Hall to officially launch the 2017 Edmonton Pride Festival.

SUNDAY JUNE 11

BEARS IN THE PARK BBQ

Noon – 3pm

Join the bears and cubs from the Fellowship of Alberta bears as they feast in the park to celebrate Edmonton Pride. As always we will be cooking up all you can eat burgers hot-dogs, drinks and salads for $15. We will have a bunch of outdoor games to play.

TWO SOFT THINGS, TWO HARD THINGS

As a small group in Nunavut, Canada prepare for a seminal LGBTQ2S+ Pride celebration in the Arctic, the film explores how colonization and religion have shamed and erased traditional Inuit beliefs about sexuality and family structure and how, 60 years later, a new generation of Inuit are actively ‘unshaming’ their past.

Join us in style at the first event of the Edmonton Pride Festival. Grab a glass of wine before you stroll around the room taking in some of the exceptional local art work that will be on display around the room.

At 8:00 pm, the Pride Awards will be presented to showcase the tremendous work that individuals and organizations have contributed to the LGBTQ2S+ community.
