Closing a major roadway in the City of Edmonton is no small feat! The Edmonton Pride Festival Society has been committed to making this happen for the past 36 years. As we grow so does our need for volunteers (specifically parade marshals). In order to keep entry fees low and participants and spectators safe, we have decided to implement a mandatory volunteer program: ALL parade entries will be REQUIRED to provide ONE volunteer who will assist in marshalling the parade. These individuals will be required to attend a volunteer orientation on TUESDAY, MAY 31, 2016 AT 7PM and will be required to assist with the parade marshalling on Saturday June 4, 2016 (exact times TBC). If your parade marshal does not show up on SATURDAY, JUNE 4TH for their scheduled shift, the organization will either need to delegate an alternate marshal or withdraw their entry from the parade. - REMINDER - Every single person participating in the parade will be required to sign a waiver form. All waivers must be submitted online no later than MAY 25, 2016. Mark your calendar! MANDATORY PARADE ORIENTATION FOR TEAM LEADS: All Team Leads are REQUIRED to attend a Parade Orientation on MONDAY, MAY 30, 2016 at 7PM
