A Transgender Human Rights Odyssey: A Solo Vocal Recital

Free to the public. June 29th, 7:30 pm. Robertson-Wesley United Church. Melisa Guilbeault will be performing music on a transgender human rights theme. Melisa is a classically trained student, performing as a biological countertenor, in the mezzo-soprano range. She identifies as transgender and intersex, and has chosen music from Dowland, Purcell, Handel, Schubert, Schumann, Mahler, and many other contemporary composers in her debut performance. Linda Steinbring is assisting piano artist.

Edmonton Pride Run & Walk

In 2019, the Pride Run will move to a new venue at RE/MAX Field featuring an accessible walk and a 5 KM run/walk. Registration starts at just $10 and the Pride Run offers subsidized registration for youth, seniors, groups, and for those that are unable to afford it. A free community barbeque, hosted by Team Edmonton, takes place after the race.
